Hexentrics and Wired Hexentrics from Black Diamond
Hexentrics and Wired Hexentrics from Black Diamond

Sale Prices: $5.56 to $12.40
Regular Prices: $6.95 to $15.50
Believe or not, Hexentrics were first introduced in 1971. This classic design has retained its relevance as an inexpensive, versatile, and lightweight form of protection. Because the BD asymmetric hexagon design allows one Hexentric to fit four different crack configurations, the Hex has a range similar to a comparably sized SLCD, at a considerably reduced weight and wallet factor. We've added a swaged cable which increases durability and racks easier than slung cord. The cable also increases the usefulness of 'Wired Hexes' -- since it is now possible to place the Wired Hexentric in very "necked down" placements. Wired hexentrics are color coded for quick identification.

Wallnuts on Dyneema
from DMM

SAVE 23%
(Several Sizes to Choose From - While Supplies Last!)

A benchmark to which all forms of nut protection are compared. With their 3-Sigma rating, Wallnuts are hot forged from aluminium (7075 T6 or 6082 T6 depending on size) and their galvanised steel cables are swaged using an advanced system with extra long ferrules for maximum strength and security. Wallnuts are designed to cover a size range of placements from 2-32 mm, and each size overlaps with the next when turned sideways for ultimate user-friendliness.

Stoppers
from Black Diamond

SAVE 20%
(Several Sizes to Choose From - Cosmetic Blems)

Stoppers from Black Diamond Stoppers are the foundation of any climbing rack. BD designed a transverse taper into the StopperŪ which permits good sideways placements in flares and shallow seams. This feature opens up previously unprotectable cracks and makes Stoppers significantly more functional than other wedge-shaped nuts. BD built in easier removal by rounding off the sharp corners that cause nuts to get hung up on crystals and irregularities inside the crack. CEN certified.

Sale Price: $4.76 to $5.80
Regular Price: $5.95 to $7.25

Curve Nuts #1 - #10
from Metolius

 Curve Nuts #1 - #10 from Metolius

Sale Price: $5.00 to $6.00
Regular Price: $6.25 to $7.50
Hallelujah for the curved nut -- what a great invention! By curving the faces of the straight sided wedges of old, whole new placement options were opened up. What adding curves really accomplishes is setting up the triangulation (3 points of contact with the rock) between the nut and the rock. The traditional orientation of the curves has been vertical, which does set up the solid triangulation but can also make it harder to tell whether or not you have a good placement. With a constant agle taper it is visually easier to tell if you have a solid placement. The Metolius Curve Nut is a constant angle taper but with a twist. These curves assure you of the solid triangulation and offer an additional benefit. Many cracks exhibit inward or outward flare and by curving the faces horizontally, the Curve Nut can naturally accommodate for this phenomenon.

Curve Hex-2000 #1 - #10
from Metolius

SAVE 20%
(Several Sizes to Choose From!)

Curve Hex-2000 #1 - #10 from Metolius

Sale Price: $7.20 to $12.40
Regular Price: $9.00 to $15.50

The Curve Hex-2000 is a highly versatile piece, offering four different placement options per piece, with a range that is comparable to a camming device of similar size. They are lightweight and much cheaper than a camming unit. By curving the faces, Metolius has opened up a lot of placement options allowing them to slide past irregularities that would block a traditional Hex. The gentle curves also allow the CH-2000 to seat into its placement with tenacious holding power. Great protection for first time gear buyers and seasoned vets alike! The Curve Hex-2000, like its predecessor, is destined to become a true classic!
